






The digital Shore hardness tester is an instrument used to measure the hardness of vulcanized rubber and plastic products. This instrument is available in three tyType A, Type D, and Type C. Type A and Type D are suitable for testing the hardness of low-to-medium and high-hardness materials, respectively. Type C is suitable forthe hardness of microcellular materials used in footwear, which are made of rubber-plastic blends or plastics containing foaming agents, when the compression rate isd the stress is above 0.049 MPa. This hardness tester complies with the relevant provisions of GB/T531, GB411, HG/T2489, and JB6148.

The digital Shore hardness tester is an instrument used to measure the hardness of vulcanized rubber and plastic products. This instrument is ble in three types: Type A, Type D, and Type C. This hardness tester complies with the relevant provisions of GBT531, GB2411, HG/T2489, and JB6148.

Ø Operating Method
Place the specimen on a rigid, flat surface. Hold the hardness tester with the indenter at least 12way from the edge of the specimen. Press the foot steadily onto the specimen so that the indenter penetrates vertically. Read the value within 1 second after the foot and specimen make compete contact. Measure the hardness value at 5 different positions where the measuring points are at least 6mm apart, and take the average (for microcellular materials, measuring pos must be at least 15mm apart). To stabilize testing conditions and improve accuracy, the hardness tester should be mounted on a matching stand of the same model for measurement.

4. Specimen Requirements:
The specimen ust be flat, have a thickness of at least 6mm, and have sufficient area. The distance from the contact point of the indenter and the specimen to the edge of the specn must be at least 12mm.
6. Maintenance
Lubricate the moving parts of the test stand frequently. After testing, wipe the instrument clean to prevent moistur and apply a small amount of rust preventive oil.
